About
A protocol family with a thin commercial edge.
orangecheck is six open verbs on Bitcoin: identity, confidentiality, legitimacy, provenance, authority and commitment. This app is the product on top of them. Same charter, same SDK, same Bitcoin foundation.
The idea
Sign-in that pays the person.
Every site that asks people to sign in pays for it somewhere: SMS codes, sign-in services, fraud tools. Every person who signs in with a big platform is tracked for it and paid nothing. orangecheck answers both with one product: paid in sats, hard to fake by design, with no token.
Custody is staged. OrangeCheck holds your accrued sats during bring-up — it is operating every role until independent operators take them. Federation custody and graduation to your own keys are what replace it.
The family
Six open verbs, each with its own free site.
Each has an open spec and a reference site that needs no account. They stay free and self-hostable: commitment 04 of the charter.
- OC AttestIdentity: proof of bitcoin stakeattest.ochk.io
- OC LockConfidentiality: encrypted messages and contentlock.ochk.io
- OC VoteLegitimacy: polls that resist fake votersvote.ochk.io
- OC StampProvenance: content anchored to Bitcoinstamp.ochk.io
- OC AgentAuthority: scoped delegations for AI agentsagent.ochk.io
- OC PledgeCommitment: bonded promisespledge.ochk.io
The company
Open protocol, paid operation.
orangecheck is a small company with one opinion: make the protocol radically open, and charge for running it. This app, also at me.ochk.io, is the commercial product: an identity built so the apps you use pay you in sats. Anyone with online accounts can use it; the apps pay.
It runs on the open @orangecheck packages. The product is not the parent of the family. The open protocols are.
The money
Sats, first and only.
orangecheck takes sats only, never a card or a bank. USD is a reference for reading; the unit is always sats.
orangecheck runs the system but does not set the prices. Each app declares which events it pays for, how much, and what share goes to its users. orangecheck keeps a fixed 20% for running it. See pricing.
