Changelog

What changed, and when.

Changes to the product, newest first. Spec changes live at docs.ochk.io.

On this page
  1. ochk.app

orangecheck gets its own app at ochk.app.

    • The same account, balance and projects as me.ochk.io, in a new design. Both stay open.
    • Its numbers and every line about money are read from the same live system as me.ochk.io.
  2. v2.3.0

Public pages say what the payout rail does today.

    • The home page, How it works and Custody read the live state of payouts instead of promising them. None of them promises a date.
    • Status shows one verdict from one check, and says what its numbers leave out.
    • Custody lists who holds each role today, what replaces it, and what has to happen first.
    • Recovery says which backup runs, when it last ran, and what is not built yet.
    • Changes between May and October were not written up here. Entries resume with this one.
  3. v2.2.1

    A smaller account area.

    • Agent delegations moved out of your account. They belong with OC Agent, at agent.ochk.io.
    • The page listing the other orangecheck products was removed from your account.
  4. v2.2.0

Prove you are active without saying where.

    • Apps can ask for a few numbers about your activity across apps, such as how many apps you use and for how long. Each needs your consent, and none reveals which apps.
    • You can download those numbers as a signed summary, and anyone can check it in their browser at Check an attestation.
    • Trust statements apps publish about an account are timestamped on Bitcoin, like every other receipt.
    • You can cancel an account deletion request yourself.
  5. v2.1.0

Federation seats need different people, not different hosts.

    • A federation now checks that its guardian seats are held by distinct keys and distinct operators. Spreading one person across several hosting companies no longer counts as independence.
    • Operators get one page that shows what needs their signature and how each federation is doing.
  6. v2.0.0

Signed events for apps, and notifications for everyone.

    • Apps can sign every event they send with a project secret, and switch to rejecting unsigned ones.
    • You get a notification when something changes about your project or account, with a link to the page that explains it.
    • Sign-in asks once whether you are here to use apps, build one or run a federation, and opens the right place.
  7. v2.0.0-prep

Public numbers, and federations operators can start themselves.

    • Economics, Scale, Compliance and Transparency publish the system’s numbers live, each with the raw data behind it.
    • Operators can create a federation and host its seats from their account.
    • You can export your account’s records as one signed file.
    • Apps can price events fired by agents separately from events fired by people.
    • Apps can send up to 100 events in one request, and get a clear retry time when they send too many.
  8. v1.0.4

Check a receipt in your browser.

    • Every receipt has a page that re-checks its signature in your browser. The only thing it trusts is the published key.
    • A developer dashboard for apps, and version 0.4 of the SDK.
  9. v1.0.0

    me.ochk.io launches.

    • One sign-in that pays you in sats, with email or a Bitcoin wallet.
    • Apps set their own price for each event and how much of it goes to the person. orangecheck keeps a fixed share.
    • Every billed event has a public receipt anyone can check.
